Professional Career Internships

DeKalb High School partners with multiple businesses and community organizations to offer professional career internships or working opportunities to students. Students may have the ability to work a job and earn credits toward a diploma. They also may have the option to partner with a local business to earn valuable on the job experience.

This college and career readiness course is designed to provide opportunities for students to explore careers that require additional degrees or certification following high school. It is open to students in grades 11 and 12. It is a one or two-credit course throughout one or two semesters. The prerequisites are Digital Citizenship and four credits in the student’s College and Career pathway. Students must provide their own transportation for this opportunity.
