Over 3300 cans and 6 1/2 hours of build time, DeKalb High School's Student Council has once again successfully participated in Community Harvest Food Bank's "Dynamic Duos" CANstruction 2013 competition.
CANstruction 2013 is on display for a week so go on down to Glenbrook Mall April 13-20 to see DeKalb's finished product! You can help us win the People's Choice Award by voting for your favorite structure --- hopefully you vote for our "Oreos and Milk" structure! You can vote by donating a canned food item to the basket next to our structure. One canned food item = one vote for the People's Choice Award. Feel free to bring food items from home to use for voting, or you can purchase food items to vote with at the mall ($1 per can or 6 cans for $5).
We made the news! Check out the link to Fort Wayne's Journal Gazette article as well! http://www.journalgazette.net/article/20130415/LOCAL/304159963/0/SEARCH

Don't forget to look for Hannah Krieg's BTV segment on this event later this week too!
IT STARTS WITH ONE CAN®. TO FEED THE HUNGRY. TO LIFT THE SPIRIT. TO CHANGE THE WORLD.
CANstruction® is using one can of food as a catalyst for change. One Can® to represent the building blocks of massive sculptures.
One Can® to prove that every act of kindness makes a difference. Since 1992, CANstruction® has contributed over 17.5 million pounds of food to community food banks demonstrating that we can win the fight against hunger.
THANK YOU, Barons, for helping make CANstruction 2013 a success!
