Choirs qualify for state finals

from the Star--Waterloo--DeKalb High School's show choirs have qualified for the Class B state finals Saturday at Plainfield High School.
     DeKalb's Sound Sensation choir will be one fo nine finalists in the women's choir division, beginning at 9 a.m.  DeKalb will take the stage at 10:30 a.m.  Other finalists are Washington, Plainfield, Fairfield, Columbia City, New Palestine, Northridge, East Noble and New Prairie.  Awards are scheduled for 1:45 p.m.
     The mixed choir finals with nine entries begin at 4 p.m.  DeKalb takes the stage at 5 p.m.  Other finalists are Columbia City, Pendleton Heights, Plainfield, New Prairie, New Palestine, Northridge and Fairfield.  Awards are scheduled for 9 p.m.  
     DeKalb's show choirs will present a free community preview show in the high school auditorium Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and recognize its senior members at the event.
