DeKalb Baron Brigade Honors Outstanding Performers!

DeKalb High School’s Baron Brigade marching band presented individual awards to members at a season-ending banquet Thursday night.

Special awards were given to musicians in each grade level, auxiliary corps members and drum majors.

The winners:

Drum majors — Hanna Fetter, Andrew Hartman and Cameron Bell.

8th Grade — Sasha Norton, best musician; Sophia Riggs, best marcher; Tabitha Butler, best mental attitude.

Freshmen — Samatha Benbow, best musician; Jillian Lewis, best marcher; Amara Wiley and Noah Mondor, co-winners for best mental attitude.

Sophomores — Spencer Mohre, best musician; Josiah Somkit, best marcher; Jacob Haberly, best mental attitude.

Juniors — Bryce Wessly, best musician; Tori Pfafman, best marcher; Hanna Johnston, best mental attitude.

Seniors — Jacob Good, best musician; Maddie Hanes, best marcher; Alexis Darling, best mental attitude.

Auxiliary corps — Kelsey Aldrich, best mental attitude; Abby Chavis, best color guard performer; McKinzie Coleman, best color guard marcher.
