DeKalb choirs place second at Bishop Luers

from the Star--DeKalb High School's show choirs both captured second place Saturday night in their divisions of the Bishop Luers Midwest Show Choir Invitational.  DeKalb's Classic Connection mixed choir finished behind Findlay, Ohio.  DeKalb's Sound Sensation girls choir placed behind Mundelein, Ill.  "Both groups had the best shows of the season so far," said DeKalb co-director Kent Johnson.  It was the first time in three weeks DeKalb had finished ahead of rival Edgewood High School of Ellettsville, Ind., which placed third in both divisions.  DeKalb's next competition will be Saturday at Watseka, Ill.
