DeKalb Central Schools is enhancing the 6–12 Campus to better serve every student. The district has completed several major projects that support academics, athletics, and student life. These include new DHS signage, updates to the Vocational Agriculture Shop, a renovated weight room, and a new multipurpose complex with accessible seating. Additional improvements include new bleachers, a press box, a sound system, upgraded Wi-Fi and fiber across campus, resurfaced and repainted parking lots, a new band practice field, and a relocated instructional tower. Roofing maintenance and door replacements have also been completed to ensure safety and longevity across campus facilities.
Looking ahead, proposed new work for DeKalb High School includes a multipurpose activity center, a redesigned lobby and Hall of Fame corridor, and renovations to theatrical and vocal spaces. Plans also feature new band practice and support areas, a renovated vocal and theatrical room, updated student lounges and corridors, new band instrument lockers, and a new band addition. Multipurpose flooring and flexible spaces designed to support student engagement will help create an even more dynamic learning environment.
At DeKalb Middle School, several exciting projects have already been completed.
